Alicia Adame grew up in Irving, Texas, and received her B.F.A. in ballet from Texas Christian University, where she was first inspired to study flamenco dance after seeing the film "Blood Wedding." Soon after she began studying and later performing with Conté de Loyo in Dallas. She later toured the United States, Puerto Rico and Canada with the José Greco Spanish Dance Company. She subsequently relocated to Seattle, Washington, where she studied flamenco and classical Spanish dance with Sara de Luis, taught flamenco dance at her school and performed in her production "Sara y Sus Joyas Españolas." She continues to work closely with Maestra de Luis. Alicia later moved to San Francisco, where she has studied with La Tania, Yaelisa and others and performed with Yaelisa and Caminos Flamencos, Theatre Flamenco and other Bay Area companies. She has taught classical Spanish dance at LINES Ballet's Pre-Professional Program, San Francisco Conservatory of Dance's Summer Program, Marin Ballet and Presidio Dance Theater, and flamenco at San Francisco Dance Center. She studied in Spain with Ciro and Elvira Andrés.
