The Company's genesis was a 2001 USITT grant to Robert and his research team to explore LED's as primary lighting instruments. The results of this extensive study formed the technological basis of Selador. The Company's primary product, the X-7 series, debuted in 2004. The X-7 offers lighting designers long-life energy-efficient and highly flexible systems free of ultra-violet or infra-red emissions. Further, Selador's color palette is unique and exciting and, unlike any of its competitors' products, offers an LED-produced pure white light. Selador's research and development activities and product manufacturing are based in Salt Lake City.
