About Selador Selador was founded in 2003 as a collaboration of Robert Gerlach and Novella Smith. The Companyís genesis was a 2001 USITT grant to Robert and his research team to explore LEDís as primary lighting instruments. The results of this extensive study formed the technological basis of Selador. The Companyís primary product, the X-7 series, debuted in 2004. The X-7 offers lighting designers long-life energy-efficient and highly flexible systems free of ultra-violet or infra-red emissions. Further, Seladorís color palette is unique and exciting and, unlike any of its competitorsí products, offers an LED-produced pure white light. Seladorís research and development activities and product manufacturing are based in Salt Lake City.
