Our Company > Novella Smith Biography Novella Smith: Vice-President and Cofounder Novella heads Selador sales and marketing and new market development, based in San Francisco. With over 30 years experience in architectural and theatrical lighting, she is currently president of her own lighting design company, Luminella Lighting Design, which she founded 20 years before starting Selador with Robert Gerlach in 2003. After graduating college in Louisiana, her career began in the telecomm industry and is a Bell Labs-trained expert in fiber optics. She worked for GTEís fiber optic division, designing systems worldwide. For Sprint, she helped plan Sprintís national fiber optic network. Novella is a member of IES. |
