Our Company > Selador Background Selador was founded in 2003 as a collaboration of Robert Gerlach and Novella Smith. The Companyís genesis was a 2001 USITT grant to Robert and his research team to explore LEDís as primary lighting instruments. The results of this extensive study formed the technological basis of Selador. The Companyís primary product, the X7 series, debuted in 2004. The X7 offers lighting designers long-life, energy-efficient, and highly flexible systems free of ultra-violet or infra-red emissions. Further, Seladorís color palette is unique and exciting and, unlike any of its competitorsí products, offers an LED-produced pure white light. Seladorís research and development activities and product manufacturing are based in Salt Lake City. The Companyís sales and marketing team as well as new product and new market development efforts are based at the Companyís San Francisco office. |
